Overview

Global IT business based in the Basingstoke area requires an Order to Cash Analyst. This is a newly created role that will provide a great opportunity for the right candidate to make an immediate difference to strengthening the Order to Cash (O2C) process across the business by taking end to end ownership DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Own the bank reconciliation for bank receipts and debtors control account. Present the reconciliation to the Financial Controller in line with the month end timetable. Responsible for the month end close of the sales ledger Ensure that all VAT is processed accurately with postings and to be familiar with the various VAT rates Responsible for creating new customer accounts on SAP Handling live debtors on SAP and close accounts not utilised within 13 months Maintain the aged debtor reporting ensuring that receipts or credit notes are matched to invoices and that payment on accounts are promptly matched with invoices Provide weekly updates to key stakeholders on aged debts highlighting any risks or requests for escalation Resolve overpayments by customers in a timely and professional manner Coordinate and own the customer invoicing process and ensure that invoices are raised timely, accurately and with codes. Where information is missing, or in query, then to follow up with the business owner Recommend to business owner’s any opportunity to accelerate invoicing and requests for help to resolve queries so that receipts are not delayed Dealing with the credit note process for the Group and ensure appropriate approvals are received before processing ESSENTIAL SKILLS A detailed and confident understanding of the Order to Cash process Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages to include SAP Competent on excel and able to present information through effective use of Microsoft Office tools Attention to detail with a 'right first time’ approach to reporting Enthusiasm to find a better way of working supporting a culture of continuous improvement Proactive to learn other processes in the team to provide cover as required In return this role offer a compative salary along with benefits and study support.
