Job Description We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people with a learning disability, to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in our service in Brighton . We have various full or part time positions from 16 to 37.5 hours a week on a permanent basis, however we are always interested if you are looking for a Relief position. Our Supported Living service is home to three young men with ages ranging from 18 - 25 who have various learning disabilities and complex behaviours. They require support with daily living such as cooking, medication, housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry, assisting to the shops and appointments - they all enjoy going out and about using public transport They enjoy a wide range of activities including playing and watching sports (particularly football), two of the three go to college so may need some support with college work, going out for meals, cinema or going to the beach for some chips by the seafront As the people we support require assistance 24 hours a day you will expected to be flexible to work across a variety of shift patterns between 07.00 - 22.00 including mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins 22.00 - 07.00, weekends and bank holidays. However, we understand that flexibility is a two way street and we will factor your commitments into our rotas where possible. Sleep in shifts are paid additional to your contracted hours and are in line with National Minimum Wage. If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding role, please apply today.
