Overview

Maintain the vehicles in a roadworthy condition by assessing vehicles which are not roadworthy and locating the defect, using all available tools and equipment, referred to company, manufacturer and legal standards. Using the Inspection Diagnosis and Triage process to improve vehicle reliability and performance. To assist with the programme of vehicles for inspection and servicing, carry out any repair work needed for operational vehicles to pass annual MOT test. To assist with the programme of vehicle inspection and servicing; complete First Use Inspection/Defect Cards or specialist defect cards, carry out vehicle inspection, repair and servicing to 'A', 'B' and 'C' categories. Promptly informing the AEM/EM of any problems which arise while carrying out the repair which would affect safety, reliability, costs and availability. To attend vehicle breakdowns by attending breakdowns with either a view to carrying out repairs or recovering vehicle for repair. Working alone or alongside other engineers to deliver all assigned work; carrying out Right 1st Time diagnosis and repair in reasonable time frame. To carry out fault diagnosis on vehicles, system components using manufacturers recommendations and tolerance.
