Sous Chef

An experienced Sous Chef is required to work at a fantastic hotel located in Argyll Role: A rural hotel that is a popular dining venue is seeking a Sous Chef to join the kitchen as a senior member of the team.The hotel operates a high quality restaurant which is open for dinner service throughout the week with dishes that take advantage of the excellent local produce available in the region and from the estate.The bar at the property also offers all day dining at weekends giving another option to visitors to the area and the hotel also hosts special events and can also offer private dining options.As Sous Chef you will be expected to be capable of working across the sections in the kitchen as well as running service in the Head Chefs absence managing a high volume venue so that it runs smoothly.At the same time you will assist with the day to day running of the kitchen including paperwork, controlling the kitchen costs and assisting with the training of the junior chefs. Requirements: A talented Sous Chef who has all round cooking skills with a stable CV based in high quality, fresh food kitchens that had won awards for the cooking standards is needed to take on this role.A confident team leader who can run the kitchen when required but also assist with the daily management of the operation is required.It is important that you are used to working in a busy, multi-outlet environment and have developed your organisational skills so that you cope well under pressure.
