Early Years Educator - Gumboots Nursery Despite the challenges of the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis we are still recruiting for staff in our nurseries. About the job: Gumboots Nursery • Number of Rooms: 2 ‘baby’ rooms, 1 ‘2-3’ room, 1 ‘preschool’ room • Total capacity of Nursery: 87 place Nursery • Opening Times: 8 PM -6PM Situated in East Dulwich, our Gumboots Nursery is a busy and vibrant nursery with an outstanding reputation with families in the local community. The nursery is situated in a purpose-built building and has four play rooms, each with direct access to one of our 3 outdoor areas. Our new Early years educator will be passionate and enthusiastic, wanting to make a difference for every child in their care. LEYF have our own teaching methods that champion engaging experiences and a child led focus, our educators are nurturing and inspiring yet maintain a professional and dedicated attitude to their work. The children enjoy regular visits to the local shops, The Horniman Museum and Peckham Rye Park to understand their community and are often praised for their good manners, social skills and independence. About you: Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and how this is monitored in a nursery setting. At least 6 months experience working in an early year’s setting To value holistic methods of teaching and champion heuristic problem solving in our children. To encourage a supportive team atmosphere and the ability to work together in a positive and compassionate way. To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others. To understand the prime areas of the EYFS and be imaginative in their planning. To have a passion for making a difference in their communities.
