Java Developer skilled in Java 8, Spring, NoSQL/PostgreSQL, JMS & Agile is urgently required to join an international gaming business based in Central London to build a gaming platform and real-time applications for 30 million players worldwide. The Job As a Java Developer you will be a key member of a cross-functional SCRUM team of 10 engineers, supported by dedicated Technical Architects & Product Owners, building a greenfield remote gaming platform allowing the games to be played on remote sites across the world as well as integrate with other operators. Working within a microservices-powered environment, you will be developing server-side gaming systems, building RESTful API’s and real-time applications using Java 8, SpringBoot, MongoDB, Cassandra, Maven, Git, Junit, Mockito, Kafka, Jenkins, GoCD, Hazelcast, Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud. The team has a keen emphasis on Agile best practices with TDD, CI/CD & OOP closely followed and would class themselves as ‘test infected’. About You You would class yourself as mid-level OR senior level Java Developer who’s passionate about server-side development using Java 8 & Spring who isn’t afraid to get stuck in. You’ll be open to collaborating within a team and have the proactive attitude to bring new ideas/methods into the team to continue their innovation. Previous experience working within the gaming industry is also a big eye-brow raiser.
