Calling all Manufacturing Maintenance Engineers. If you have experience with Small mechanical Manufacturing kit (with some electrical), please get in contact about this nice little role.Working for a global business, you will report into the Manufacturing & Engineering Manager. You will repair and provide full maintenance for the company kit, you will also get a chance to be involved in future proofing the workshop and by this add extra bits to the working area to make the process of the production line work better.Key areas of the role• Maintain and improve LAC machine setting and measurement system • Maintain and improve safe working systems and production capability for tooling fixtures • Assist Manager to maintain and improve production data and working flow systems • Assist ME Manager and Operations Manager to develop and improve LAC layout work flow and reporting • Assist to develop maintain and improve strategic and tactical continuous improvement programme’s • Assist to develop maintain and improve safe working and environmental systems • Ensure that all tasks are completed as laid out in the apprenticeship course scheduleKey Accountabilities• LAC machinery – Assist to ensure the maintenance and improvement of LAC machinery and equipment • Setting – Assist to maintain and improve setting and measurement systems and develop tooling fixtures for the improvement of production capability • Continuous Improvement – Assist to develop continuous improvement strategies for the LAC alongside Operations Manager • HSQE – Work with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental department to ensure safe practices of work within that environment and ensuring the continuous high standard of qualityNecessary Knowledge / Attributes• The role will be predominantly hands on, so I’m looking for someone who can use general mechanical engineering skills to assist our production cells in the maintenance, setting and operation of our production equipment, improving the manufacturing cell layouts, equipment & processes.• Knowledge and training in Lean Manufacturing techniques would be beneficial, but this can be provided for the right candidate, given a willingness to learn.• General machining skills would also be beneficial – milling & turning etc plus an appreciation of CNC machining / CAD/CADCAM would also be beneficial. • Knowledge & practical experience of Metrology – Part Measurement to drawings & tolerancesGood IT skills – generally Microsoft Office applications Production of work instructions / procedures.Resilience, adaptability / flexibility will be key, along with the ability work with all members of the production teams.Desirable Knowledge / Attributes :-• Knowledge of MRP systems particularly SAP • Working with highly configured assemblies / components – many of our products have a multitude of configurations / options. • CAD – Solidworks • CAM – Fusion 360 • SPC knowledge • Electrical / electronic knowledge.If you are a team player and would like to be considered with this role, please call Steve and apply for this role today.
