Overview

HGV Technician Birmingham – CONTRACT (Ongoing basis) Clemence Rogers are currently working in partnership with our client in the recruitment of an experienced HGV Technician to be based in Birmingham on an ongoing basis. Duties Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet trailers Carrying out road tests Performing emergency road repairs Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards Diagnoses of vehicles utilising computer based diagnostic equipment Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasks Preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication Responsible for upkeep of scheduled maintenance records, including recording details of all work done and scheduling of servicing in compliance with Operator’s License requirements Candidates should be able to demonstrate: Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines Ability to actively seek solutions to problems Ability to work as part of a team Good verbal communication skills Excellent customer care skills Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements Pay Hourly rate between £19.00 and £23.00 per hour depending on experience.
