MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN VACANCY– BOLTON COUNCIL, DEPARTMENT OF PLACE, VEHICLE FLEET MAINTENANCE SERVICE Bolton Council are looking to recruit a Motor Vehicle Technician for its Vehicle Fleet Maintenance service. The Role – To provide an efficient repair and maintenance service to the Councils vehicle fleet and grounds maintenance equipment About You – You will need to be qualified as a Motor Vehicle Technician with several years’ experience working in a motor vehicle repair and servicing environment. Experience of maintaining Large Goods Vehicles and vehicles in a municipal setting will be an advantage but not essential. You will need to be flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines in a busy workshop. Use of your own tools is important for which an additional allowance will be paid. The roles are required on an interim basis whilst the service is undergoing a review after which there is likely to be more permanent opportunities available. As part of our team you will receive full training and a competitive rate of pay. The Workshop is located centrally close to Bolton Town Centre and the main bus and rail station. Pay and conditions Pay - £2249.92 per month (£13.99 per hour) Tool allowance payment 30% allowance if working night shift Available Overtime - Occasional hours during the week and Saturday mornings Holidays – 31 days per full year which includes 8 Public Holidays Hours Day Shift – 7.24 hours per day worked usually between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Start and Finish times can vary in line with service needs. Hours Night Shift – 9.15 hours per shift Monday to Thursday. 10pm to 7.30am.
