Being a Support Worker with Discovery is more than just a job, it's an opportunity We believe that good support means to ‘do with, and not for'. Your role will be to provide support for people to do all of the things that each day in life entails, from maintaining relationships with family and friends, managing personal finances, participating in hobbies and so much more. Fosse Park is a block of flats that supports 5 people with autism and learning disabilities, each person we support lives in their own flat. We are looking for positive, proactive people to join this dynamic and expanding team. The people we support enjoy going out for a drive, accessing the community, going out for country walks to national trust parks, the seaside, along with going to the Cinema, bowling and going out for meals. The kind of person we are looking for is someone that has an enthusiasm to make other people's lives rewarding, has a passion for progression and an ability to adapt when things don't quite go to plan. Previous experience is not necessary, ability to drive would be ideal however if you can't and are willing to learn you can take advantage of Discovery's learn to drive scheme. Other tasks will include supporting people with personal care, eating and drinking, medication, record keeping and other daily tasks. We are open to full-time and part-time colleagues joining us Why join us? £9.00 per hour, £9.90 per hour (nights), £30.50 per sleep in. 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Travel allowance for some services – discussed at interview if applicable.
