Overview

SQL Data Analyst Please note you will need to be a car / motorbike owner as the offices are based away from public transport links. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, and cares about delivering quality. The ideal candidate will be working with a variety of data from diverse sources and will be providing valuable insights that will support decision making. As an SQL Data Analyst, you will need to have a good knowledge of Excel and SQL. You'll be comfortable joining multiple tables and using your analytical skills to create relevant data sets, manipulate data and extract data for our partners. In this role, you will: ·Translate real-world questions into database queries. ·Build reports and dashboards that provide insight into our operations. ·Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content ·Monitor and improve data collection and export workflows Tasks: ·Analysing and documenting business processes ·Working with our software partner/supplier to improve functionality. ·Manage internal IT system, ensuring data warehouse is running fluently. ·Working with our data partners. ·Manage and develop our current data sources ensuring they remain appropriate and accurate through regular data cleansing. ·Advise on changes needed to support ongoing data collection and exporting. Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of data processes. ·Build and manage dashboards to visualise this data. ·Generate reports and presentations to provide valuable insights that help drive informed decisions. ·Problem solving. ·Produce Business Process Models. ·Ensure exports are completed to agreed timescales. ·Team management. ·Oversight of internal SFTP’s. Required Skills and Experience - ·Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation. ·Well-developed planning, organisational and data analysis skills. ·Great communication skills - Written and verbal. ·Able to organise, manage and prioritise own workload to ensure tight deadlines are met. ·Able to communicate at all levels: from director to End User. ·A highly logical, analytical and forward-thinking approach. ·Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and respond well to changing priorities. ·Data analysis skills. ·Report writing capabilities. ·Expert SQL knowledge (SQL Server). ·Advanced skill in MS Excel & VBA. ·Understanding of data protection issues. ·Capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows. ·Ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkage. ·Highly analytical and a problem solver working with large volumes of Data. ·Ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
