Overview

We currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Manager within our HSE team. This is a home based / field based position within the UK. This is a full time and permanent position. We are open to receiving applications from across the UK. As an Environmental Manager you will implement a robust environmental compliance strategy for Certas Energy projects and to communicate that strategy to the Directors of the business as well as with DCC in accordance with defined risk tolerability levels. To manage and control the remediation projects in terms of technical, financial and stakeholder outcomes and the environmental compliance of the business, and to inform the Directors and DCC of the impact of any non-compliance identified. Reporting to the HSE and Technical Director as the Environmental manager you will advise Directors and senior managers on corporate environmental responsibilities while developing programmes and initiatives to produce continuous improvement in environmental projects and performance. You will assist in environmental due diligence of potential acquisitions including consultancy procurement and liaison, recommendations for environmental liability provisions and work with senior managers to ensure that financial provisions are budgeted for to effect necessary environmental remediation, or if not budgeted, communicate the corporate risk profile associated with the decision.
