Overview

A provider of therapeutic services to traumatised children and young people with mental health issues is currently looking for a Registered Manager to head up one of it's homes in Northamptonshire. You will be joining a long-standing and highly reputable organisation which supports children and young people with mental health issues / emotional, behavioural difficulties. They are well respected within social care and receive referrals from councils all over the U.K. You will be supported by the organisation's team of therapists, an educational team and a strong and supportive, experienced senior management team. Duties and responsibilities: As a Registered Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of running the home. Your service will provide medium to long term planned placements as well as emergency placements, to ensure young people are supported and prepared to move on to independent living. You will also ensure that high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with home’s procedures and strategies. Ensure that the home is constantly being improved and developed to achieve excellent Ofsted outcomes. Ensure that all care, financial and administrative records are maintained in a timely manner. Take part in an on-call rota. Candidate requirements: Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years (within the last 5 years) experience of managing staff within a children's residential home, either at Deputy Home Manager or Home Manager level. It is also essential that you have experience of supporting children aged under 16 years with mental health issues and/or emotional, behavioural issues.
