Overview

Electronic Hardware Design Engineer £35-50k Harrogate area Electronic Hardware Design Engineer required to lead exciting projects for special-purpose machinery across a broad range of products including robotics, process equipment products and vision systems. We seek a competent engineer with knowledge of analogue, digital, video, power electronics, and a basic understanding of embedded with a strong practical approach. Your role will be based within the engineering team supporting both NPD and existing products. You will be involved in: ·Managing whole design/development lifecycle from concept development & breadboarding to certification and operation. ·Leading electronics projects from concept to operation ·Design, development and debugging of analogue and digital electronics ·Maintain and manage existing electronics and documentation ·Ensure implementation, adherence and improvement of the design process ·Create and maintain accurate and timely technical documentation ·Work with project and business partners to improve departmental capabilities ·Undertake electronic / electrical design tasks taking responsibility for assembly, ·Design and fitness for purpose ·Technical Report writing Qualifications and Education Requirements HNC /HND / BEng / MEng or equivalent in an Engineering discipline Extensive experience in an electronics environment PCB schematics and layouts, designing and testing PCB boards Embedded microprocessor and power electronics Firmware programming experience Strong practical skills (soldering, wiring, assembly) Manufacturing practices and processes (ideally six sigma and DFM) Debugging and fault finding CE marking and technical construction file experience Personal Attributes Focused on solutions with a passion for quality Team working skills with an approachable demeanour Common sense and practical approach Working on own initiative IT, literacy, and numerical skills Problem solving skills Good time management skills, able to handle the pressure of meeting deadlines Enthusiastic with a questioning and positive challenging attitude Beneficial Have or be working towards professional recognition - Eng Tech / IEng / CEng CE marking and technical construction file experience ATEX experience Experience with Eagle PCB software Experience with analogue CCTV and digital video Please note as we are currently working from home so please send your CV to and I will get back to you asap.
