Overview

Huxton Resourcing are recruiting for passionate, committed Residential Support Workers to join a well-established residential home based in Sutton Coldfield. The Residential Home you will be working in will consist of up to five young people between the ages of 11 years – 18 years old. The young people may have experienced trauma from neglect or abuse and may express challenging behaviours, absconding, offending behaviour and/or self harm. We are looking for individuals who are going to give additional support in raising self-esteem, Self-worth, identifying risks and controlling behaviour. You will also assist the young people in opportunities and engage activities which will encourage and empower them to have a positive outlook on life. We are currently recruiting for permanent days and waking nights positions however, shift filling roles for as and when are also available. Shift patterns available: Day Shifts - 07:30 - 22:00 Day shift plus sleep in - 10:00 - 22:00 plus sleep in, finish 10:00 following day Waking nights - 22:00 - 07:30 We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 6 months experience in EBD, learning disability, or challenging behaviour in a similar or relevant setting such as community ,education or youth work . The Ideal candidate will need to have the following ·Hold a current DBS currently on the update service or happy to apply for a new one. .Assertive and sensitive in your approach to vulnerable young people.
