Overview

1st / 2nd Line It Support Technician - Horsham - £25,000 - £32,000 Benefits Main Function of Role: Being the first point of contact for staff with IT related problems. Helping staff resolve 1st and 2nd line technical issues. Configuring PC’s (desktop / laptop) and printers for both office based and remote staff. Logging and tracking of IT support issues. Updating and maintenance of IT documentation. Assist the IT Support Engineer with maintaining the IT network / infrastructure at our Horsham office. 3rd level support for maintaining the in-house infrastructure. New product evaluation and implementation. Technical documentation and work instructions. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Management of the in-house infrastructure. Daily administrator tasks such as server monitoring and fault finding. Assisting the IT team in system implementation and changes required. Qualifications and/or Experience (essential) MS Office - 2013 / 2016 Windows - 7 / 10 Software, firmware and driver installation (including OS) Printer setup, configuration, and maintenance. Endpoint anti-virus and security software. Essential Practical Skills A good telephone manner. Friendly, polite and willing to help. Proactive with excellent problem-solving skills. Patient and understanding Positive attitude. Willing to contribute with ideas. Desirable Skills / Knowledge Windows Server - 2008 / 2012 / 2016 Microsoft Exchange - 2010 / 2013 / 2016 Active Directory - Group Policy Management Virtualisation - Hyper-V Computer Networking - IP configuration / DHCP / DNS / VPN Network security - Firewalls Person Specific Ability to work on own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team; however, even more importantly is the willingness to adopt a flexible approach to the work undertaken.
