Overview

Location - London, Mayfair Salary - £80,000 Blakemore Recruitment are assisting a well established Wealth Management firm recruit for a Technical Manager to join their team. Job; The Head of Technical and Research will assist the Senior Management Team and Advisers. This is a dedicated technical and support role with regular contact with clients and providers. You will be responsible for the firm’s investment proposition and suitabilityreports. Duties; You will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s investment proposition and assisting the ’adviser’ team deliver a first- class service to our clients. The Key Accountabilities are: Chair, maintain, manage and oversee the Investment Committee, being responsible for investment and product due diligence and maintaining and panel of discretionary fund managers, single/multi asset funds, platforms and other products (EIS, VCT, BPR Structured Products, SIPPS & on/offshoreBonds). Assisting the Compliance Oversight Officer with their duties including ongoing responsibility for MiFID II charges reporting, product governance, and regulatory reporting. To prepare detailed suitability reports based on fact finds and information in the client’s file, as provided by the Adviser. Conduct comprehensive product research. This includes industry research tools, liaising with product providers, and keeping up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes. Take responsibility for the pre and post-sales support administration for Advisers, including making changes to investment portfolios. Prepare relevant literature and documentation for client meetings and on an adhoc basis. To update and maintain client information accurately on data storage / back office software, and act as the lead contact with these providers on behalf of the firm. To maintain client and the firm's files in a well presented, accurate and compliant manner. Liaise with clients, products providers, and other agents via telephone, email and letters. Maintain registers / reports for compliance audit purposes. Reconcile commission and fees, and produce reports as required. Deal with policy servicing enquiries /tasks. Support with internal processes for giving advice to new and existing clients. Write blogs / articles for the firm's website. Draft and / or support with creating and updating of marketing collateral. Train, mentor and manage paraplanners and assist support staff.
