Job Title and Grade: Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation) or Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation) Hours: Minimum: 2 days Monday and Friday 08.30 - 16.30 but can be up to 37.5 hours if you have other Physio Rehab experience which is relevant and applicable (e.g. Orthopaedic, MSk or Neuro) Pay Rates: Days: £19.21 per hour excluding Holiday Pay (Band 7) £15.55 per hour excluding Holiday Pay (Band 6) Are you a Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist or Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist with Amputee Rehabilitation experience? Would you like to work within a multi-disciplinary team across the Integrated Care System providing clinical expertise in the provision of Amputee Rehabilitation, assessing and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care? If you answered 'yes' to the above and you would like to work within this team, we'd love to hear from you We have a long-term placement opportunity for at least 3 months if not longer starting as soon as possible available for a Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation) or Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation), specifically providing the following: To provide clinical expertise in the provision of Amputee Rehabilitation, assessing and making decisions about the best course of action for patient's care. To provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, triage and management/ treatment of amputee patients. To deliver programmes of supported patient rehabilitation, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions. To contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of services within Therapies and Dietetics. Identify specific interventions and skills required from the multidisciplinary team in order to deliver the plan of care and expected health/social outcomes. (evidenced based and lead to recovery and minimise risk.) To provide interventions in locations across the health community covered by The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust as required. Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation) Responsibilities: To apply for this post, you will: Take professional responsibility as a clinical specialist physiotherapist, with high-level decision-making and clinical reasoning skills to assess, diagnose and triage patients. Manage a complex caseload (including patients with long-term conditions, co-morbidities and multi-factorial needs.). possess leadership skills in managing and contributing to service delivery. Be accountable for decisions and actions via HCPC registration, supported by a professional culture of peer networking/ review and engagement in evidence-based practice Ensure care is proactive, preventative in focus and population based, with an emphasis on early intervention. Organise and plan own caseload to meet service and patient priorities readjusting plans as required. To represent Therapy and Dietetics Services or individual patients at multi-disciplinary team meetings, to ensure the delivery of a coordinated service. Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist (Amputee Rehabilitation) Requirements: Diploma/ Degree in Physiotherapy Current HCPC Registration Current Full driving license Post-graduate qualifications relevant to Amputee Rehabilitation to Master's level or equivalent. Evidence of clinical expertise and knowledge acquired through CPD and experience. Demonstrate knowledge of equipment available and ability to assess and fit where appropriate. Ability to present and receive complex information within a multi-professional team. Ability to convey sensitive information in an empathetic manner to patients/ clients/ relatives/ carers and staff.
