Experienced Social Worker
Overview
Cardiff Council are looking to take on Qualified Social Workers, to be part a Safeguarding team. The successful candidate must have solid safeguarding, child protection experience and be confident with court proceedings. As a child protection social worker, you must be flexible and able to work under pressure. Due to the nature of the role candidates must have front line post qualifying experience in child protection services. The worker needs to have the experience and skills to undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments, all to be carried out in a timely way that will development the outcome, focusing on care plans with children and their families. The candidate also needs to possess an in-depth understanding of the current relevant legislation, procedures and assessment process within social work. You will also be required to have extensive knowledge of social work principles, ethics and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to deal with complex cases, group work, and community issues as well as having the ability to work individually with great enthusiasm to succeed.
