Freight Forwarder

Job Description Evans Jones Associates are pleased to be recruiting for Freight Forwarder for our client based in Skelmersdale. The Role: As Freight Forwarder you will report directly to the Freight Forwarding Manager. The position is focused towards UK Freight; ensuring customers’ expectations are met from origin to destination. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a busy and growing team. Key Responsibilities: · Management of shipments. · Arranging freight pick up. · Arranging UK road freight through to destination. · Ensuring all necessary documentation is supplied and accurate to ensure a smooth movement of goods. · Tracking shipments. · Invoicing customers and producing quotes/costings. · Communicate effectively with customers globally. Transferrable Skills: · Experience of freight forwarding environment. · Highly organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure and to deadlines. · Strong interpersonal skills. · Strong written and verbal skills. · Customer focus. · Problem solving/Analytical. · Good team player. · Commercial awareness. · Numerical skills. · Flexible approach to daily tasks and work load. · Working with third party suppliers Salary : £24,000.00-£30,000.00 depends on experience Hours of work : Monday to Friday -flexible hours 07:00-16:00 – 08:00-17:00 – 09:00-18:00
