Overview
Major are working in partnership with a small manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Storesman to join their existing team on a temporary to permanent basis. Job title: Storesman Location: Worksop Role Type:- Temporary to Permanent Hourly rate : £9ph - £10ph Hours of Work:- Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 3:45pm (39 hours paid) Duties: Be responsible for receiving and checking all deliveries Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner Procurement Liaise with suppliers and handle queries relating to delivery and stock discrepancies Keep a record of and report any frequent shortages or spare items Keep inventory management systems up to date Carry out regular stock takes Pick and deliver products using a forklift Organise and deliver goods from the stores to the relevant departments as required The ideal candidate will possess or be able to demonstrate the following:- Previous Stores / Goods out / in experience Able to work as an individual or as part of a team Be computer literate and numerate Have a good level of physical fitness (some of the work can be physically demanding) Our client is looking to hold interviews next week with a view for an immediate start.
