Overview
Our established software client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their small and friendly team on a permanent basis, in their brand-new office based in Bristol - situated very close to Temple Meads. Key Responsibilities; - Responsible for ongoing product development and team management - Develop and maintain products, manage releases across Cloud and Server - Contribute to documentation of features/scenarios and user support articles as required - Contribute to ongoing effort to improve code-coverage of application through unit test and integration testing - Maintain all source code securely via source control systems - Track and manage all tasks through the issue tracker - Resolve escalated problems is our issue tracker in a timely manner - Provide guidance to junior developers Candidate Attributes; - Strong Java development background - Strong problem solving, debugging and investigative skills - At least 2 years’ experience within a team leading position - Excellent communication skills (oral/written) as well as being able to converse with customers via issue tracker - Solid working knowledge of source control systems (e.g. Git/Mercurial) and branch management - Javascript/jQuery/HTML/CS - Strong Java, 7 years’ experience required - Must be local to the area Hours; Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 Salary; £50,000 - £60,000
