Directorate:Finance Job Title:Finance Business Partner Contract:The post is offered full-time. Responsible To: Head of Finance Business Partnering Direct Reports:Finance Business Associate Level of Accountability: The post holder will work under own initiative to achieve agreed objectives in accordance with the Trust’s IPDR process. There will be regular monitoring and review meetings - objectives will be set, but the post holder will determine how results are best achieved. There will be one Finance Business Associate reporting to the post holder Base:Crawley HQ Job Purpose: Provision of finance and business support to a range of Clinical Service/Support Units within the Trust. The focus will be to provide clear strategic financial leadership, delivering robust operational and financial management whilst improving cost effectiveness. Provision of an accurate finance information service to budget holders and the maintenance and development of IT systems. Provision of accurate monthly results for incorporation into the monthly Finance Pack with full variance commentary that adequately explains variances against budget and forecast. Provision of updated monthly forecast outturns reflecting the views of budget holders gained through regular meetings. Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering where necessary. Operate effectively within the Finance Business Partnering Team, sharing knowledge Key Duties: Provision of financial support to a group of budget holders to ensure the achievement of financial control and effective budget management that facilitates the delivery of the Trust’s financial targets, including: Delivering a high quality and customer focused financial management service. Adapt and redesign information systems to improve reporting to budget holders.
