My client is seeking a Site Engineer to be based on a £13M Design & Build scheme in Dorset Area. The organisation is a main building contractor who has a reputation in delivering high quality schemes ranging from £5M to £50M in value. The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sectors of Commercial/ Industrial/ Mixed-use & Retail. This company offers a good salary and benefits and has a strong forward order book; the business is well respected and has proven sustainable success As the site engineer, you'll need to: Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives Set out, level and survey the site Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications Oversee the selection and requisition of materials Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project Plan the work and efficiently organise the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines Prepare reports as required Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
