Digital Design Engineer Our client is a highly successful global company. Our client is looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join their expanding R &D team which consists of circa 20 staff, including system architecture, hardware, software and firmware, and mechanical engineers and programmers developing the next generation DAS and digital repeaters including on–board train repeaters. The engineering team provides engineering support to the outsourced production lines. Technology includes RF, digital, software and mechanical design and development, cellular and public safety technologies, wireless system engineering, providing cellular and public safety standards and certification processes. As a Digital Design Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Our client is looking for Digital Electronics Design Engineer to design complex high speed digital Printed Circuit Boards for distributed Antenna systems. Digital Engineer should be able to define interfaces and digital parameters required for digital communication over fibre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and integration of complex digital circuits. Proven experience of Schematic Capture using Altium or equivalent. Experience of high-speed serial communication protocols and architectures Hands on experience of Hardware, Firmware & Software Integration of Micro Controller Based designs onto hardware platforms is essential As a Digital Design Engineer your main responsibilities will involve: Analysing system level requirements documents and understanding their application to Hardware designs A methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process is required Experience of de-bugging and testing new designs and supporting module and system related test, verification and integration project phases as required by a development type programme prior to system deliveries. Able to interpret circuit board designs accommodating FPGA and high speed ADCs / DACs Work closely with engineering teams to support detailed design in CAD / Cam or VHDL Involved in engineering investigations, trouble shooting and problem solution activity.
