Overview
Registered Home Manager Location: Finedon, Northamptonshire, NN9 Salary : Upto £40,000 p.a (excluding bonuses) dependent on experience and qualifications. Contract : Full time, permanent. About Us: Total Care Matters is an established Ofsted "Outstanding" residential children's home provider, with 7 East Midlands homes. We look after children in care between the ages of eight and seventeen, with a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. About You: We are recruiting for Registered Homes Managers, with 1 position at a 3 bed EBD home in Northamptonshire and 1 position at a 4 bed EBD home in Leicestershire. These positions present a great opening for an experienced deputy manager to step up to the registered manager role, or for an experienced registered manager to take on a new opportunity. Candidates should: • Have experience as either a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Residential Children's Home. • Experience of working to Ofsted guidance and, where possible, 2 Ofsted sequential "Good" ratings. • The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (QCF) or equivalent - or be willing to work towards this qualification as a priority. • Varied experience working in a Children's residential care setting. • Be over 22 years old. • Have a full UK manual driving licence. • Be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure. • Be eligible to work in the UK. What We Can Offer You: The salary scale is £32,000 to £40,000 p.a. Plus the potential for upto £3,500 p.a in bonuses and £1,000 p.a on-call allowance. The salary offer is dependent on your qualifications and experience. What else do we offer? • 6 month probation period, with good induction and support package • Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks (maximum of 28 days) • Working week of 40hrs (9:00am-5:00pm) • Excellent development and comprehensive vocational training opportunities • Excellent prospects to develop into "Homes" and "Operations" management • Growing and expanding company focused on quality outcomes About the Role: The Registered Residential Children's Home Manager's role is to take responsibility for the management of the residential home. This will include, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities: • Processing and response to all local authority referrals, arranging admission of suitable young people. • Ensures that all young people's plans are in place, and monitor's achievements. • Allocation of keyworkers. • Provides direct care and supervision as required within the Home. • Works positively with families and others involved with the young people. • Directs and coordinates the care and therapy for each young person to ensure that their personal targets are met. • Responsible for the financial expenditure and budget of the home. • Ensure that appropriately qualified and experienced staff are recruited and that staffing meets the standards and levels set out in the Registration document. • Responsible for all mandatory and vocational training and qualification for the Home's staff. • Develops and maintains systems of delegation and review in order to promote teamwork and communication. Provides regular staff supervision and review. • Ensure that the Home is constantly being improved and developed to achieve excellent Ofsted outcomes. • Ensures that all care, financial and administrative records are maintained in accordance with company policies. • Ensures that all young people's financial affairs are administered strictly in accordance with company policies. • Assists in the On-Call rota.
