Assistant Accountant/Imports Clerk

We are looking for a hard-working Shipping/Imports Clerk who enjoys and is strong at the financial and analytical aspect to their role and are looking to progress their career to become an Assistant Account. The Assistant Account/Shipping Clerk will join the finance team within a well-established clothing brand. The Assistant Accountant/Shipping Clerk will become part of a team and support their colleague focusing on the shipping aspect of accountancy. The responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant/Shipping Clerk will vary from: Contacting various freight forwarders and negotiate to get the best prices Producing and presenting profit and loss calculations Prepare and manage budgets Post bank receipts on a daily basis Verify balances and use initiative to resolve inconsistencies, informing relevant colleagues This would be a good role for a coordinator with Imports, freight, logistics or shipping who is passionate about developing their career into accountancy. Excel and spreadsheet skills are essential. The Assistant Account/Shipping Clerk should also have a personable and positive character to fit in within the team.
