Our clubs are run by volunteers and your role will be to support our volunteers in running the clubs. Whether that means assisting them with a risk assessment, helping them balance the books recruiting volunteers or, in the absence of a volunteer, leading club activities in everything from exercise and cooking clubs to dancing and singing, games and quizzes. Position: Club Support Location: North East Hampshire Job type: Part Time, Permanent Hours: 20 hours per week Salary: £19,528 per annum FTE About the role: The key is that you will be a clear point of contact for the club volunteers, and will support them in line with our values and strategic aims. What are the key responsibilities? - Working towards clubs becoming self-sufficient in terms of volunteer teams and membership numbers. - Working with clubs and volunteers to create new activities and inspiring clubs programmes. - Ensuring clubs comply with club policies, procedures and agreements. - Alongside other Brendoncare staff, recruiting and supporting new volunteers including providing emotional and practical support to ensure they have the confidence to run the clubs. - Facilitating both formal and informal engagement with members, actively listening to members feedback. Who are you? Your experience for this role may well come from your life outside of work, whether that’s being involved in putting on community / fundraising events, volunteering or working with volunteers. You must be energetic, enthusiastic and well organised with IT skills and financial awareness. We would particularly welcome applications from people with singing, dance or creative arts skills. You’ll also be able to work with a wide range of people in an inclusive way, be familiar with the voluntary sector and have an understanding of the issues affecting older people. What are we offering? This role is for 20 Hours per week at £19,528 FTE, £11,159 pro rata covering North East Hampshire. The position will be predominately home based and you will be expected to have a car and a full clean driving license to effectively cover the area. Mileage and expenses can be claimed. Clubs are held at various times during the week and weekends so a flexible approach to working hours will be required. How do I apply?
