Your responsibilities to achieve this will involve: Line manage engineers Work alongside the product managers, solution architects and engineers to define the vision and technical direction of the products Foster a DevOps environment Manage multiple disciplines in your teams (e.g. development, testing, automation, configuration, etc) Build a culture that attracts and retains great talent Help team members reach their full potential Demonstrate and teach best practices (TDD/BDD) YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: What your role as an Engineering Manager will require: Experience leading a team of software engineers within a DevOps environment Understand software code, architecture patterns, and modern development Advanced working knowledge of Java, Python or JavaScript Experience of TDD, BDD, and pair programming Ability to communicate with peers, product owners, and architects within the team and wider business Pay attention to detail and understand your team Be able to prioritize and focus your attention and your teams to manage multiple deliverables and deliver working software often THE BENEFITS: The salary for your role as an Engineering Manager is up to £85,000.
