Ward Manager - NEW Surgical Unit Hemel Hempstead Up to £44,000 Company Benefits Compass Associates are working with an independent healthcare provider, in their search for a Ward Manager to join their Ambulatory Surgical Unit in Hertfordshire. Based in Hemel Hempstead, this service provides outpatient care, diagnostics, imaging, physiotherapy, dentistry and day case surgery in their modern facilities. The centre provides the entire patient journey under one roof, from your initial diagnosis and throughout your treatment plan. They have GP and primary care services for diagnosis, physiotherapy for rehabilitation and will soon be opening theatres for day case procedures. The model is unique to the company with both primary and secondary care available, making it simple and easy for patients to seek treatment. The Candidate My client is seeking an enthusiastic surgical nurse with recent management experience and hands on clinical skills. Reporting directly to the head nurse, you will be expected to lead a team of nurses and ensure high levels of patient care at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced charge nurse, sister or ward manager to join a new service. The ideal candidate will have experience with CQC compliance and preparation for inspections, rota's, audits and leading a team of nurses and HCA's. You will provide pre and post-operative care to patients and work closely with the theatre team to ensure high standards of patient care and safety. This is a full-time position, although hours will usually fall between Monday- Friday, some flexibility is needed for the demands of the company. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced clinical nurse with a passion for providing excellent standards of patient care. Requirements RGN, fully registered with the NMC. Clinical experience - surgical ward, ASU or day case. Recent experience at charge nurse, sister or ward manager level. Excellent communication skills.
