Within the UK they operate a network of around 40 depot locations where accommodation and storage units are prepared for rental or sale and are refurbished as required. Purpose To manage the national fleet lifecycle (new fleet introduction through to disposal) and to ensure that the fleet balance is managed nationally to meet the local type, quantity and location demands. Capturing all key areas in the cycle from business case, demand and capacity planning, new introduction, stock management, stock take, on-going assessment, impairment and disposal. To own, communicate and monitor compliance to all Fleet standards, procedures and KPIs across the organization including VAPS and Accessories. Control and management of cross hire cycle. Reporting Structure Functional relationships with Operations management, General management, Finance, systems and process management will be critical to ensure smooth control of fleet across the business. Ensure that relevant fleet process, policy and controls are maintained and improved across all areas of the business. Communicate with Regional Operations Management when controls and policy is not adhered to, maintain and improve reporting. Work with colleagues to get standing fleet correct and carry out audits on a regular basis. Main Responsibilities Manage complete Fleet lifecycle Ownership of all Fleet Standards, Procedures and KPIs across all Fleet including VAPS and Accessories Generate relevant Metrics and KPIs that help drive improvement within and across the Regions & Departments but remain simple to update and interpret Monitor and manage location of Fleet to ensure that the location and type of units are in line with Local and National utilisation Define Fleet Standards and manage the conversion of units from non-standard to standard layouts including setting and managing the capex budget required Manage National Fleet lifecycle (New Fleet Introduction through to Disposal) Working with the relevant Regional Teams to ensure the timely movement of assets within and across the regions Set and monitor Off Hire and On Hire Quality Standards nationally in line with the regional teams Monitor off-hire assessment process To identify training needs and to build training packages targeting the Regional Teams To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions. Control utilisation by location/product type Manage the balance of fleet across location Control absorption of new fleet into the business and exiting of end of life fleet. Monitor transfers from all locations to ensure maximum efficiency when delivering to customers Manage the Cross Hire Desk and prioritise company fleet over cross hire. Data analysis on movement of hires. Communicate with and manage third party suppliers Job experience & skills requirements Proven ability to influence change at all levels within an organisation. A clear thinker who proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources to make the right decisions. Aptitude to create innovative solutions but can probe and consider all the facts and details, while still staying aligned with the long term plans and goals. Can act decisively, promptly and confidently. Self-motivated with the ability to challenge for the correct solution in a demanding and changing environment. Excellent communicator both verbally and written with an ability to communicate with all levels in the organisation (operational, business, executive). · Think and act both strategically and tactically. Work Experience: Has proven experience and ability to work effectively with internal and/or external customers. Has proven experience in Fleet Management Advanced skills in Excel and data analysing Experience in Project Management and Auditing a distinct advantage Proven management experience Engineering and Manufacturing is a specialist division here at Venatu Recruitment Group.
