Overview

Main Purpose of Job The Introducers and Leavers Team Leader; with support from their two direct reports, has responsibility for the processing and vetting of Introducer Appointed Representative applications for St. James’s Place Partners through to FCA authorisation and St. James’s Place appointment, as well as for the processing and de-authorisation of advisers who leave the St. James’s Place Partnership. Key Responsibilities of the Job Introducers Line management responsibility for 1 individual (the Introducers Executive). Oversight of the pipeline of Introducers to ensure that work is processed in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with the day-to-day processing of Introducers. The extent to which this is required will be dependent upon the volume of active cases. Typically, there is a large volume of active cases. On complex and high-profile cases take the lead on or work closely alongside the Introducer Executive. Such cases will involve liaison with other individuals around the business including: the Legal Department; the Location Risk Managers; and the Field Management Team. Act as the primary checker for the Introducers Executive’s work. Leavers & Regulated References Line management responsibility for 1 individual (the Leavers Executive). Oversight of the pipeline of Leavers and Regulated References to ensure that work is processed in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with the day-to-day processing of Leavers and Regulated References alongside the Leavers Executive. The extent to which this is required will be dependent upon the volume of active cases. At times this may be minimal. On complex and high-profile cases take the lead. Such cases will involve liaison with other individuals around the business including: the Legal Department; the Location Risk Managers; the BSP Department; other Head Office departments and the Field Management Team. Act as the primary checker for the Leavers Executive’s work. What we are looking for Methodical and highly organised approach. Excellent eye for detail and accuracy. Level-headed and ability to prioritise effectively. Experience of working in a fast paced and process environment. Some knowledge and experience of working in a regulatory role within financial services is preferred, but not essential. Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with others, both internally and externally. The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team with a can-do attitude and the desire to go the extra mile when required. Understands drivers behind, and the ability to demonstrate, good service and quality. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders in other Head Office departments and UK Locations as well in the wider Partnership. Interact effectively with other teams within the division and other divisions within the Group, to ensure full understanding of end to end processes and the importance of them. Is this role for you?
