Your new role This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to kick start their career with a company that will offer exposure to various industry sectors, including Engineering, Manufacturing and Distribution and that will provide the training and skills needed to successfully support end-to-end development. You will be based in a newly refurbished office in Sheffield and will join a strong and well-experienced IT team, made up of young specialists and long-standing expertise. Reporting directly to the Group IT Director and working closely with an experienced Web Developer, you will support the Group's development plan in line with key business strategies. Furthermore, following a period of training you will have responsibility to lead your own development projects / modules from start to finish. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role you will need to be educated to degree level whilst possessing a strong understanding of software development. Building on this, knowledge of object-orientated programming, PHP, HTML, SQL and JavaScript is strongly advantageous. Moreover, basic knowledge of code versioning tools, Bootstrap, UI and UX best practices is desirable.
