Assistant Engineer (Geotechnical/Civils) Trowbridge Competitive Salary Car Company Pension Share Scheme 25 Days Holiday and Bank Holidays Christmas Shutdown Bonus Monday to Friday (08:30 to 17:30, with a 16:30 finish on Friday) Assistant Engineer required for a leading construction company specialising in piling and foundations. The Assistant Engineer role would suit candidates from ANY Civils or Construction background who hold a relevant Degree (or equivalent) in that field, with a bias to Geotechnical engineering and equivalent. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to move into an estimating and design focused role, with ongoing opportunity to get chartered. You will need to be confident communicating with internal teams and clients on a daily basis. Around 20% of your time may require visiting site locations across the South West region. The Assistant Engineer role will involve the estimating and design of piling for various construction projects including schools, residential property and other commercial buildings. You will interpret geotechnical reports to establish the feasibility of piling designs. You will go to client sites to assist with installation teams and ensure piles are accurate for the project. You will need to ensure all work and documentation is in line with company and industry HS and quality standards. You will also gain your CSCS card to enable you to visit construction sites.
