Audit Senior

Audit Senior We are currently working with one of Oxfordshire’s leading independent accounting and business advisers who are looking for an Audit Senior. The position has come about due to the companyacquiring a number of new audit clients in addition to their current portfolio, this role will lead on audits, grow the client base further & maintain existing client relationships. The successful candidate will report to the Audit Manager & take responsibility for completing tasks accurately, to deadline & to ensure the audit is delivered in a timely & cost-effective manner. You will supervise junior staff as well as preparing audit planning documentation for review. In addition, you will prepare the accounts & corporation tax in respect of your audit clients. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Deliver the audit files in accordance with UK GAAP Planning and delivery of audit assignments Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work Manage client communication in effective manner Monitor your assignment budgets pro-actively Keep updated with industry developments Mentor audit and accounts trainees Produce more complex draft financial statements in a statutory format using the firm’s accounting software Produce consolidated financial statements for a group Essential Skills: Qualified / Part Qualified ACCA / ACA Ability to plan, review and complete audit files in a cost effective and timely manner Strong computer literacy and ability to use the MS office suite of products Strong accounting skills and experience with Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and Key Accounts Strong problem resolution skills and the ability to identify possible solutions Good communication skills and ability to work within a team Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise jobs effectively Self-motivated and willing to work outside normal hours as required Person Profile: Career focused with demonstratable skills with an aptitude to progress within the company A team player but with the ability to work autonomously when necessary An interest in people with a desire to assist more junior team members with the support they require
