Job Title – Assistant Quantity Surveyor Package - £30k - £40k Package Location – Essex The Company: Our client is one of the leading refurbishment & new build contractors in Essex with an excellent reputation. They have worked on some of the most prestigious projects in and around London. Due to an increased workload, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Design Manager to join the team. The contract values will typically fall between £100k and £6m with a mix between Traditional and Design & Build projects. Due to growth, they are now looking to bring on as Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their existing team. This is a key role for the company and you will be given full support in order to work your way up through the business. Job description & Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business, reporting any movements in the costs since the preparation of the land purchase exercise. Prime costs to include but not restricted to house pricing, labour costs, site work operations and remediation work. Oversee P&L on each project. Deal with valuations & payment notices. Provide a detailed cost budget and share with Site Project Team at the appropriate time. Detail a labour cost schedule including anticipated target hours. Maintain schedules of quantities and price them individually for prime cost budget. Once land opportunities are identified, familiarise the geographical area and consider site issues. Prepare estimates of all prime costs inc. subcontract and materials. Complete the apportionment of total prime costs to individual plots and produce a profit analysis for the Director. Monitor and explain all cost movements.
