Overview
The London Teaching Pool are looking for a Construction Tutor to join an Alternative Provision in Slough starting in September Many pupils have very complex backgrounds and learning or behavioural needs that would be difficult to meet in a mainstream setting. The classes consist of up to 7 pupils with 1 or 2 Teaching Assistants depending on their needs. As a Construction Tutor your main duties will be: ·Maintain accurate reports and learner records. ·To provide learners with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decision to help achieve their goals. ·To design and deliver engaging lessons that provide differentiation, meet the needs of all learners in the groups, achieve good learning outcomes and are of Grade 2 quality ·To plan delivery and assessment in a thorough scheme of work and achieve timely success targets Experience/Skills/Attributes: ·Experience in delivering City and Guilds Construction course. ·Teaching qualification CTLLs / DTLLs / CERT ED / PGCE / QTS / QTLS ·Relevant Level 2 / 3 qualifications in Construction ·Passionate about the Learner Journey ·Good time management skills ·Ability to manage hard to reach and disengaged learners Whilst having experience in a challenging environment is desired, it is not essential.
