Year 1 Teacher Role MPS2-MPS6 Permanent, Full-Time Year 1 Teacher Role London Borough of Islington April 2020 Start Year 1 Teacher Specification As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for your class to learn and play. You must possess an unquestionable passion for helping children can grow into confident, independent and successful individuals. We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who with at least one year of experience teaching a KS1 class. It is essential that, as a Year 1 Teacher, you are a dynamic and are able to swiftly deal with any problems you may face in a regular school day. About the Year 1 Teacher Role In this Year 1 Teacher role, you will be working closely with the Assistant Headteacher, who is also the KS1 and Early Years co-ordinator. You will be joining a team of 3 other KS1 teachers, each of whom benefits from the support of a teaching assistant. During your time as a Year 1 Teacher, you will also be offered the same level of support. As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for a class of 26 year 1 pupils who are keen to learn and engage well in lessons.
