Overview

Financial Controller My client are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting & Forecasting Manage the month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing plus annual budgeting / monthly forecasting for the company. Delivery of accurate and timely financial and management accounts for the company and its associated Companies. Preparation of annual statutory accounts. Reviewing the monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet together with cash flow statements. Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues. Provide and challenge insightful information from the analysis of the accounts assessing performance and identifying / recommending areas of improvement. Budgets Develop budgets, cash flows and financial plans for the company. Preparing and compiling draft budgets for Board approval. Reviewing budget balance sheet and cash flow. Cost appraisals and capital expenditure appraisal. Auditing Liaising with the Company's external auditors throughout the year, however primarily with regards to the preparation of the statutory financial information. Responsible for preparation of the Company's' audit file including trial balance, lead schedules and supporting documentation. Coordinating year end and audit processes. People Management Manage and oversee the day to day activities of the Finance Department. Lead the finance function to ensure the team is managed and motivated. Develop and coach the Finance team to support continuous improvement within the department and across the business. Ensuring adequate cover of other team members where necessary. Deputise for Financial Director when appropriate. Legal Keeping abreast of legislative and regulatory changes to ensure to ensure good governance. Health and Safety Promote and support a safe working environment and foster a culture of 'safety first'. Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to. Ensure all activities of yourself and third parties are conducted in a manner that does not compromise food safety or food quality. G eneral Develop and maintain all necessary systems, internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company. Reviewing BACS supplier payments. Critically challenge business plans and ideas to ensure projects are realistic and achievable. Reconciliation of stock across multiple locations. Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
