Foster Carer Start a rewarding career in fostering. As a Foster Carer you will receive full training, 24 hour support and a generous payment package, to care for a child who is in need of a home. At Prepare to Foster, we guide you through the process of becoming a Foster Carer. To qualify, you must: Have a spare room in your home Be over 21 years of age Be a British citizen Be able to drive and have your own car Have flexible working hours, or be available full time Fostering is a career where you can really make a difference to the life of a child. You do not need any prior experience, as full training is provided. However you must be able to demonstrate the ability to care for a child, and that you can provide a safe and nurturing home for them.
