Overview

My client is a large manufacturing business and is looking for an Assistant Accountant to start imminently, directly reporting into the Finance Manager. Duties within the role will include but are not limited to the following areas; accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, sales ledger invoicing, purchase ledger invoicing and variance analysis. The suitable candidate will have experience of working within a PLC environment and will be able to deal with a large volume of data. This will require someone with intermediate Excel skills to include vlook ups and pivot tables. Ideally candidates will be AAT qualified or working towards their ACCA / CIMA qualification. During the current client it is imperative that the successful candidate is a self starter and is able to work off their own initiative with keen eye for detail. This is an interim assignment to begin as soon as possible and last for approximately 6 months until the permanent candidate is recruited.
