A relative newcomer to the Yorkshire insurance scene, but headed by two of the industries brightest stars, this firm is certainly one of the UK broking markets’ great success stories of the last five years. Unafraid to challenge the status quo, this firm’s focus on delivering old fashioned client service, coupled with embracing new technologies, has allowed them to punch above their weight and win high quality accounts from more established brokers across the UK. It is now recognised as the 'go to’ broker for clients across a number of sectors; it has deals in place with governing bodies and trade associations and has won a number of high profile awards and plaudits in both the insurance industry and the sectors in which it operates. Due to this significant growth over the past few years, the need has arisen for a Servicing Account Executive / Director to join the team in a senior capacity. Here, you will assume control of an established portfolio of commercial accounts (generating between £200-250K income), a number of which have been connected to the Director in question for many, many years. The clients generally have premium spends in excess of £100K, and many of the accounts are well ran, owner managed 'wheels orientated’ risks. That said, as one would expect, these account have the full range of commercial covers attached. As these clients are longstanding accounts, and many of their key personnel have become good friends with this brokers’ Senior Team, it is essential that you are very much a safe pair of hands who is able retain this portfolio, delivering a superb level of client service along the way. You will benefit from a warm introduction to the whole portfolio, and be encouraged to build a great level of rapport with all clients, along with a deep understanding of their business. Becoming your clients’ "trusted advisor", you will educate them on their insurance needs, highlight gaps in cover as their businesses evolve, and provide a range of solutions to ensure they are achieving the best possible premium without compromising on cover. As a senior member of the team, you will also help the Directors in the smooth running of the business, attending trade shows and industry events, and being involved in special projects and the like. As a 'company ambassador’ in the industries in which this broker operates, you will keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in several niche areas, and maintain relationships with stakeholders from across the sectors. It is essential that you are an experienced Commercial Account Executive with a strong track record of managing and retaining a portfolio. You should also have a strong knowledge of Transportation related risks such as Bus & Coach, Haulage, Distribution and large Fleets. You must also be a personable team player, with excellent communication skills and the ability to get on with people of all walks of life. Whilst the focus on the role is very much on the management of the existing account, and there is zero development target or expectation, you will receive a generous bonus of any new business won or accounts transferred post covenant.
