Electrical Design Engineer – £32,000-£38,000 – Lichfield The Role Advanced Innovative Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Lichfield. Reporting to our Head of Engineering, the successful candidate will engage in technical engineering projects with a wide range of tasks including concept definition, functional analysis design and test. The successful candidate will also assist with development of technical innovations and hold high-level discussions with customers and suppliers. The key responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer at Advanced Innovative Engineering include, but are not limited to: System definition in response to new enquiries (in-house/Customer) Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical innovations. Drawing up plans and schematics using computer-assisted engineering and design software. Testing electrical/electronic control and power systems. Analysing data, documenting technical findings and performance results in technical reports and presentations as required. Holding high-level discussions with customers and suppliers. The Person The key skills and qualities of an Electrical Design Engineer at Advanced Innovative Engineering include: A HNC or HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is a minimum requirement; alongside knowledge of UK, EU and US electrical standards and compliance regulations. The successful candidate must be a professional engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the automotive, aerospace or related (higher technology) industries and Comfortable operating within a ISO 9001, AS9100 or IATF certified environment. We require experience in the specification and sourcing of electrical components ECU/Engine control system; DC/DC converter alternator/ generator EDS including typical powertrain related sensors and actuators The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of system verification requirements to: Legislative/Industry certification, Environmental and The successful candidate must be computer literate.
