Overview

Reed Accountancy Bracknell is currently supporting a local market leader to recruit a sales edger clerk on a sole agency basis. Your overall responsibility will be to ensure that all invoices are raised billing queries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner and credit control for the hospitality ledger Reporting to the accountant and working as part of a team, duties and responsibilities will include: All aspects of sales ledger Review details provided by their caterers of amounts to invoice, checking accuracy against supporting documents and price lists Logging of receipts and allocating cash. post and allocate cash receipts to the hospitality sales ledger Raising invoices (100-250 per event over numerous events Re private bookings, collect deposits for Food and beverages in a timely manner. Liaise with caterers to ensure food and beverage is not provided unless payment has been received or the customer has an approved and up to date credit account. PDQ and other control account reconciliations to ensure completeness of billing and payment. Credit control on all invoices raised, ensuring low days sales outstanding and few bad debts. Chase outstanding debts Bill event holders for their catering, collect advance payments and subsequent payments and chase overdue debts to ensure minimal bad debts. Support with invoicing and dealing with general cash receipts This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate and develop your skills and experience further within this fantastic organisation The role would ideally suit an experienced sales ledger clerk who is also comfortable with debt chasing and ideally has had some experience within the Hospitality sector . Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential and you have a strong customer service approach
