We are a well-established, family run business offering the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, dynamic team. The vacancy for a Showroom Assistant is well suited to an organised individual with excellent customer service skills. We are recruiting for our Thatcham showroom. Working weekdays are negotiable for the right candidate, but will include Saturday hours ( The showroom is closed on Mondays). Please add a covering letter to your application. Salary - circa £10.00 P/H depending on experience Objective Based in our Showroom, you will liaise with customers, both face to face and over the telephone, providing impeccable customer service. You will be required to assist and advise on products and arrange appointments in our online booking system. Responsibilities Keyholder - responsible for opening and securing premises Answer the telephone and greet customers in Showrooms. Handling queries Manage surveyor/ fitter online diaries by geographical area. Confidently demonstrate company products to customers in the showroom. Advise on available motorised options and how they operate (full product training given) Receive deliveries from suppliers & organise in stockroom. Record accurate customer detail. Organise data & communicate messages and tasks to colleagues. Requirements Essential: Excellent telephone manner and face to face customer service skills Strong communication skills Problem solver / ability to work through customer issues in a professional manner Friendly, with a 'can do’ attitude. Must be able to use and operate windows-based software and confident in using online CRM/ diary tools (full training given) Well presented, trustworthy and reliable Beneficial: Interest in home décor (full product training given) A creative mindset Previous retail experience
