Networking and Security , Servers Cisco Catalyst, Nexus CCNP or CCIE or CCSP Certification preferred Near Chester / North Wales - Part office, part mobile, part home working £50,000 - £65,000 pa DOE Car Allowance Benefits Bonus Well established IT Managed Service company, providing secure integrated ICT solutions for both Private Sector Enterprise's and Public Sector organisations in the Wales, North West and Midland regions; required highly experienced Senior grade consultant / engineer with a wide range of infrastructure and security skills to help deliver on going projects and support a growing client base. You will provide a full end to end service for the design, implementation and on-going management of a wide range of cutting edge technology solutions including: Networks, ICT Security, Business Applications & Enterprise Computing and have strategic alliances with a number of the world's leading ICT vendors including Cisco, Gemalto, Fortinet, Aerohive, Symantec, Microsoft, VMware and NetApp. In this role you will be: Installing, supporting and managing new hardware infrastructure Configuring and supporting a wide range of software platform Configuring and supporting various public cloud based services, including their managed services platform Liaising with the sales team to suggest solutions to customer business and technical problems, interpreting client's requirements and designing technical solution Providing documentation and in-depth Scope of Work (SOW) for clients Demonstrating solutions to clients and installing proof of concept trials Managing Service Delivery on a day to day basis for their Managed Services Portfolio including Help-desk, datacenter and reporting/monitoring platforms Managing Project delivery of both Internal and External Projects on a day to day basis as well as providing Management support to the Engineering team in the absence of the Technical Services Manager Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence Ensuring configurations and data backup of services and implement recovery from disaster Communicating with Vendors and third parties where required to escalate support cases and assist in diagnostics to resolve issues with hardware, firmware/software Reading and attending training courses and industry meetings in order to keep up to date with the latest technological developments and trends in engineering Provide support to other engineers and assist in skills development within their engineering team Regular day travel and OOH support required (on rota) Required Skills and Experience: Technical Skills: A general knowledge of all aspects of security and networking - Especially interested in Cisco qualified individuals as above, Switching - VLAN's, Spanning Tree, Ether channel etc. Routing - RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPLS, IP Addressing V4 & V6, Experience with the vendors listed below is desirable, an understanding of systems, storage & Microsoft Business Apps (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, SQL etc.) would also be useful. Educated to A level standard or equivalent, ability to demonstrate similar intellectual capacity. A degree in computer science or similar technical degree would be desirable. Also Cisco CCNP, CCIE, CCSP qualifications Very interested in NSE (Fortinet) qualified individuals NetApp, VMware, Veeam and Microsoft qualification would also be very useful Project Management skills and related qualifications advantageous but not essential To suit person with: Interest and awareness in developing technologies and trends Proactive, dynamic & focused with the ability to demonstrate a lot of attention to detail Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance Empathetic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view Team-player Excellent written and verbal skills including ability to summarise and articulate complex solutions to clients is essential.
