IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE We would love to hear from you This role sits in a small planning team reporting directly into the Planning Manager and needs someone who would like to develop their career within Planning & Supply Chain The Company Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, the Planner is responsible for the day to day planning and material requirements function. · Ensure all materials, packaging and ingredients are on hand to meet production plan 100% in accordance with inventory targets and space constraints. · Finalising and releasing the weekly/daily production schedule for the site, ensuring full utilisation of capacity available and that the Schedule is adhered to achieve Customer Service. · Supporting and engaging in continuous improvement in all task, processes, and cost opportunities in addition taking into account to optimise line hours and resources on a weekly basis. · Planning and controlling the material requirements for manufacturing. To achieve 100% availability with minimum stock holding using SAP. Responsible for finalising and releasing the weekly/daily production schedule for the site, ensuring full utilisation of capacity available and that the Schedule is adhered to achieve Customer Service. Plan production in the most efficient methods possible and ensure adherence to cost standards and production line capabilities. Ensuring schedule adherence through measurement of demand vs. output. · Monitoring of daily KPI’s (service, planned efficiency, plan attainment). · Processing and analysing of the daily customer forecasts. The Role The role is a Monday to Friday work pattern, normal office hours apply. There might be a small requirement infrequently for a couple of hours on Saturday mornings but time will be given in lieu when this arises. We are looking for someone who has worked in an FMCG environment and proficient in using IT systems specifically strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAP. Ideally you will have worked in a complex and multi-faceted manufacturing business previously and confident at communicating effectively at all levels. What is needed · Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. · A brilliant relationship builder. · Good planning and organisational skills. · Able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment, as well as demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. · Good judgement and analytical ability.
