Overview

Job Title: Junior Project Manager (Nuclear New Build) Location: Bristol The Role: This role is working within the Nuclear team for an international consultancy and will play an important role in the development of the new nuclear build, Hinckley Point C. My client are looking for talented Project Managers to join their team and work on site on a nuclear new build in the South West. You will be working as an project manager/technical advisor supporting the delivery of individual schemes under a team leader providing a portfolio of projects. The key purpose of the role is making sure the right things are done at the right time to ensure project deliverables are met. It includes the following duties and responsibilities: Take personal responsibility for a small number of specific projects, both client facing and internally focussed Planning & managing project schedules to ensure on-time delivery Creation and monitoring of budgets Identify, allocate and co-ordinate resources to projects Direct project support team to ensure necessary project administrative tasks and activities are completed Effectively communicate & manage key stakeholders Managing risks and issues Managing changes to scope / contract / deliverables Tracking of deliverables & monitor progress Report on project status, risks and escalation, both internally and to clients Develop strong relationships with clients and be seen as an integral member of the project delivery team Champion effective project management As well as being a successful junior project manager, you will also have the following qualifications and experience: Experience of project management in the construction industry with the focus on delivering buildings and infrastructure schemes through all stages of the project cycle Be a graduate plus 1 to 4 years working towards chartership with a professional body (APM, RICS or Chartered Engineering Institution) You will hold a recognised project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2 and will have experience in its operation Knowledge of project programming and scheduling software, e.g. MS Project Experience of working in the public and private sector on stand-alone schemes and on frameworks Self-motivated, proactive, team player with the ability to work collaboratively within internal and external teams Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Our client can offer a competitive salary along with a good benefits package and the opportunity to work for a highly respected company at the forefront of the UK nuclear new build industry offering excellent prospects for future career development and advancement.
