Software Engineer

Software Engineer Small software team based in our offices in Kent. The team work closely with the business, using Agile methodology under the close mentorship of the Head of Software Engineering. Integral to the development of our inhouse claims software solution, this team ensure our bespoke systems meet internal requirements and service our policy holders. The team also develop our portal products. Purpose - To take an active role in the design, development, maintenance and support of the core functionality and associated products for the Trinity Claims System. Accountabilities for the Software Engineer - To provide input into the design of the system and processes to enhance business performance To participate in the development of in-house claims system in line with existing coding guidelines To speedily rectify software defects as and when identified To follow project plans and to meet agreed delivery dates following agile methodology To participate in group sessions with the development team and business users To assist in prioritisation and estimation of system enhancement requests To work independently and as part of the team Team Setup: There is six in the development team Reporting to the head of Development. Experience required for the Software Engineer C#, ASP.NET MVC 5/ASP.NET Core MVC, Visual Studio 2019 RESTful Web Services / ASP.NET WebAPI SQL Server (T-SQL) HTML5/CSS3 (including Bootstrap) Javascript (with and without JQuery) Source Control (Git) Agile experience (SCRUM) Test Driven Development (TDD) Technical troubleshooting Development of B2C/B2B Web application development Some experience of the following would be advantageous: Azure DevOps/TFS Azure Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) Insurance claims processing Analysis and technical design Angular Framework Design Patterns and Best Practices Benefits Annual profit share bonus Pension Parking Working Hours: hours a week The office is open 8am - 6pm This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89920363
