QCL Analyst - Microbiology

QCL ANALYST (MICRO / BIOASSAY) / 12 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT WITH SIGNIFICANT OPPORTUNITIES TO STAY LONGER TERM (LIVERPOOL, PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY): £11.00-14.00 PER HOUR. We are presently seeking a QCL Analyst for an initial 12 month contract, but if the candidate performs well it is likely to lead to longer term opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Stability and release testing of animal health products and water in compliance with cGMP Bioburden & absence of specified organism testing, Environmental Monitoring of cleanrooms, Endotoxin testing, Media preparation and operation of autoclaves, Microbial Identification, Maintenance of culture stocks Analysis to support key site validation activities in compliance with cGMP Maintenance of analytical equipment Maintaining laboratory records to current cGMP requirements Operating to current Environmental Health & Safety standards Required experience: Candidates will have a BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline and have some experience in analytical testing, ideally within a pharmaceutical environment. Experience in Microbiological testing Essential Skills: Able to work alone with minimal supervision Able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication Able to make most efficient uses of resources and ensure deadlines are met Able to systematically troubleshoot problems and make appropriate decisions Desirable Skills: Experience in Bioassay testing Demonstrated initiative, working towards continuous improvement activities If the above describes you, then we want to speak with you as soon as possible.
